Monday's oil sketch on birch board. I like starting my week with going out on location and painting, it seems to get me going for the rest of the week. However, some Monday's can be a little more challenging to pick up that paintbrush and get moving. That morning is what I call a morning of distractions or the avoidance issue to pick up the paintbrush. It started with me patting every dog en route and we have lots of sweet doggies here on the West Coast. Then chatting with every stranger, plus moving my easel several ties for that perfect spot. After a good hour of self procrastination, I did paint that sketch.
